To Our Members:

First, we want to share with you a few statements from the University on the killing of George Floyd and the need to combat racism, with perspectives from President Eisgruber and faculty members. As President Eisgruber writes,
“We all have a responsibility to stand up against racism, wherever and whenever we encounter it. Commitments to diversity, inclusivity, and human rights are fundamental to the mission of Princeton University.”
We also wish to congratulate Nicholas Johnson ’20, Princeton’s first black valedictorian. Last week, he served on a panel with Dr. Marian Croak ’77, Prof. William Massey ’77, and Kim Pearson ’78 about mentorship and diversity in STEM.

Upcoming Events

We recognize the importance of community during this time, and are continuing to organize virtual events. A few in the works now are:
  1. a workshop with other Bay Area Ivy League alumni groups on mental health and well-being,
  2. a virtual wine tasting with a local Tiger-run winery, and
  3. continued collaborations with PEC and other Princeton alumni groups.

Stay tuned for details. And, as always, if you have suggestions for a virtual event you would like to lead, please reach out to us at president@pcnc.org.
