It’s no secret that Ivy League acceptance rates have hit historic new lows.
The extremely high entrance criteria at the most selective schools have produced a ripple effect, and now all the top 50-100 schools have tougher admissions standards. The hyper-competitiveness of the most recent application cycles has shifted the admissions landscape and the move towards test-optional admissions has led to dramatic increases in applications everywhere (Princeton received a total of 37,601 applications in the last admissions cycle). Anita Doar ’06 will be joined by her team of college admissions consultants from Top Tier Admissions (TTA) as they contextualize these competitive trends, break down common myths about the application process, and share their observations about how COVID-19 has reshaped college admissions. The one-hour college admissions panel talk and Q&A will feature:
- TTA Co-Founder and former Assistant Director of Admissions at Dartmouth, Dr. Michele Hernandez P’19
- Former Director of Admissions at Dartmouth, Maria Laskaris
- Former Assistant Director of Admissions at Cornell’s College of Arts & Sciences, Heidi Steinmetz Lovette
- Former Associate Director of Admissions at Brown, Nellie Brennan Hall
There will be the opportunity to ask questions!
