Attendees will have the opportunity to reconnect with alumni and friends members at the Pre-Performance Social.

PLEASE NOTE

  • In order to attend the Pre-Performance Social, attendees must purchase a ticket to the evening’s performance to attend HERE (using code IVYLEAGUE25) and comply with COVID safety guidelines described below.
  • As the featured opera performance is Richard Strauss’ Die Frau ohne Schatten, guests will have the opportunity to socialize and learn more from SF Opera’s featured speaker.

EVENT ITINERARY

  • 6:00-6:50 pm Pre-Performance reception (located on Outdoor Loggia Balcony. Please enter building through the North Carriage Doors facing courtyard side of the Opera House)
  • 6:50-7:05 pm Featured Speaker discusses about Richard Strauss’ work
  • 7:05-7:30 pm Attendees are seated before performance begins
  • 7:30 pm Performance begins (there is no late seating )

The Pre-Performance reception will be held at the Outdoor Loggia Balcony.

Doors will be open to the public at 6:30 pm. Anyone arriving for the reception between 6 and 6:30 pm needs to enter through the North Carriage Doors, which are on the courtyard side of the Opera House (the Grove Street and Van Ness Ave entrances will be closed until 6:30 pm)

COVID SAFETY GUIDELINES

  • Your safety and well-being are our highest priority. We encourage those attending to be fully vaccinated, test negative for COVID, and not be experiencing symptoms.
  • Effective February 1, 2023: Proof of Covid-19 vaccination and masking are no longer required to attend San Francisco Opera performances in the War Memorial Opera House or Wilsey Center.
  • It is encouraged for patrons to wear a mask when attending a performance to protect themselves; San Francisco Opera will provide masks to any patron who wishes to wear one.
